Microsoft SQL Server Management Server name missing in connect to server Dialog Box

i installed sql server 2014. After installing sql server,i found that server name is displaying empty.

I have gone to sql server configuration manager to check but i found that the right side list is empty. i put the server name as chetan-pc but the eroor comes saying that network related instance. What should i do in such a situation? Should i uninstall the sql server 2014? Any kind of help will be highly highly appreciated.
