Check array with another arrays and save matched value in string variable using C# and VB.Net in ASP.Net

my first array elements "400005733.wav" "400006813.wav" my second array elements "400005733-b.doc" "400006813-b.doc" if we see them 400005733.wav matches with 400005733-b.doc irresptive of exctensions but i have -b which should be removed and that name after removing -b "400005733.doc" this should be saved in a string variable how can i do this,similaraly for the second array element

is -b is common for all the files?

So that can check by removing the -b.

yes for second array elements -b is common but only -b should be removed and i should get "400005733.doc" after removing -b in all the elements of array2
