hello,

my website stream videos through vimeo.com but on some network, vimeo IP is block and user think we are blocking them.

i want to make small popup that if vimeo ip 199.232.44.217 is block on user network it shows popup that the vimeo.com is block on your network.

please advice how to achieve it.

Hi nauna,

There is no way to detect ip is blocked by other server. If you are able to connect to the server, then it's not blocked.

If you can't connect to the server, it can be due to any reasons.

Usually your IP address being blocked isn't one of the reason.

Okay thanks for the details.

but question is vimeo.com for e.g we are loading video thru vimeo.com in our website thru embeded iframe. but in one of the school the network adminstrator has blocked vimeo.com and youtube.com so our embeded iframe video is not loading in our website.

so i want to check that if on network vimeo.com url or its ip is blocked by network so i want to show a message in our website that it cannot be load .

please advice.
