Problem in updating the service reference in silverlight

Hi

I cant able to update my service reference to my silverlight application.

When i update the service reference, there is no error is throwm but below it simply displays

"Service reference update fails"

When i copy and paste the service reference URL in the browser, it shows

""This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below."" with some xml coding below

Can any one give me a solution for this.
