Change the status automatically after 10 days using EVENT Scheduler in MY SQL

i have one column in the table Statusif Status is set as Sentwhile insertinguser set the status as SentI want such a logic that status should be changed automatically after 10 dayswhat logic should i use in the query to change  it after 10 days

this worked for me CREATE EVENT rot ON SCHEDULE EVERY 1 day DO     update barterproposals        set proposalstatus34Aborted34     WHERE sentdateDATECURDATE15       AND proposalstatus  34SentReceived34
