any way or method to trace out as to why the javascript is not egtting executed

it get executed some times sometimes not

i checked in FF there are no errors

i added paging functioality to the grid after which the script is not egtting executed

I would suggest first solve your script issue. As if you script has errors even AJAX and updatepanel will now work

and it works fine even without alert

& IE not able t debug

how else culd i trace whts getting stuck up or interfering

You will need to try clearing cache or try resetting browser.

Else best is to try on a different machine whether you see this same behavoir since there is no solution for your problem

Then definatately your script has errors and it is not compatible with IE browser
