What is the difference between deploying and hosting a web site

Which one is good? Hosting or deployment? If i have to deploy it for single user how can i do it? Steps to do it?

1. Deploying means you create the published version of the site.

2. Hosting means you host the site on the server and make it available on internet

Create a Setup file or directly copy the EXE

and it displays the name in control panels add/remove program but i do not find the icon anywhere ?
